REVIEW OF THE DAY
So, a relatively low scoring day despite the first match finishing (just) in the most-predicted scoreline. Northern Ireland winning, and Germany not, put paid to many a high-scoring manager's hopes of racking up a cricket score. No change in the top 3, but 3rd place Harry Jnr White moves 2 points closer to the top two despite a meagre 3-point haul.
Graeme McKean moves ever closer to the top three, with 5 points enough to see him climb a couple of places to 4th. 7 for Craig Jnr Douglas moves him up 5 to 5, while the predictor of the day - Laura Douglas - crashes into the top 10, up 26 places to 8th with two perfect scores followed by a 'nil points'... |
GERMANY 0 POLAND 0
Eighteen fixtures in, we have our first goalless draw... and it's only the third match for which no-one at all has predicted 0-0. So it's either zero points or 2 points for all predicting managers, with just 15 of 97 scoring. The random score generator did come good for one team... Lorna's Predictions. Having slipped to 53rd earlier in the day, this one result sees Lorna Preston jump 28 places to 25th. |
UKRAINE 0 NORTHERN IRELAND 2
Yet another match with a late twist. A second goal for Northern Ireland made no difference to the result, but plenty in Euro 2016 Predictor. You have to feel for the 12 managers who were heading for a perfect 5 points, only to be robbed of 3. Great news though for the three managers who predicted 2-0. Laura Douglas was one, and with a second correct score of the day Absolutely Fabregas! are the only team with a perfect 10 so far for Thursday - they are up 26 places to 8th since last night.
Around 18% of teams predicted a Northern Ireland win, while just over half scored -2 points for predicting Ukraine. All of the top three lost 2, so no change there, but 2 points for Barca Bears sees them climb to 4th.

ENGLAND 2 WALES 1
Another one that all changed right at the end, with England's late winner ensuring that we got the most-predicted score for the third match in a row. 61 teams went for the England win, with 30 correctly predicting 2-1.
The top two picked up 3 points each for a 1-0 prediction - they regularly seem to be predicting the same scores which would seem a bit pointless if it's by design... 3rd placed Harry's team continue their excellent run of form with a perfect score to close the gap to 2nd to a single point. The teams in 4th and 5th got it all wrong... Morag's Minnows drop right down to 12th for predicting a Wales win, while Mr Rafa's draw sees them drop to 11th. |
