THE MUG RACE
So it looks like Euro 2016 Predictor is pretty much won by Notts Co USA and they look sure bets for the engraved Nightmare Soccer pint glass. There are still plenty of mugs up for grabs, with 2nd and 3rd guaranteed a Nightmare Soccer mug along with the Knockout Stage League winners. So the race is on to finish in the top three, while the Knockout Stage is only marginally over half way through. Different leaders every day so far, with 2 points enough today to see Calders Crystals jump from 6th to top. |
ENGLAND 1 ICELAND 2
Far from the 'biggest shock in European Championship history', six managers did go for the Iceland win. Two of those gain 5 points for the correct score, the other four get 3 points for the correct margin (all 0-1). It helps The Cow Beneath The Sea be the biggest climbers of the day, up 20 places to 18th. Top scorers for the day are my own Eliverise who move up 10 places to a still-miserable 87th.

ITALY 2 SPAIN 0
16 predicting managers correctly went for the Italy win, with 13 of them scoring 2 points and three with 5 points for getting the score spot-on. Tre Leoni regained 2nd, one of those to pick up 2 points with 23 Lions scoring -2. Top team to pick up 5 points were King of Siam, way down in 65th (now 51st). 2 points is enough to see Mandy Meerkat go back to the top of the Knockout Stage League. |
