MINI LEAGUES ROUND-UP
Alex Abbas, Brendan Keenan, Gerald Escreet, James Willingham and Lucas Higgs have won their respective Mini Leagues.
Gary Watson and Craig Douglas are dead level in a 2-horse race in the Hillhead Hopefuls League, Gary top with more exact scores.
Darren and Theo Fox are fighting it out in trustthewizards.com, Darren with a 3 point advantage going into the Final.
Lorna Preston leads Katy Rogan by 5 points in Rogan's Rockets - Katy needs a maximum possible 7-point swing.
Four of the five teams in Neymar Messin' About! can still win the League. While it's unlikely it will be Ryan Hassan, just a single point separates the other three: Alex Abbas, Niall Mackenzie and Steven Jewell.
Three can still win the League of Legends - Philip Gilliam is 3 points ahead of Andrew White, who is 3 ahead of Kevin Vestrand. |
GERMANY 0 FRANCE 2
54 managers predicted this one, and it seems it was a tough one to separate - 18 going for Germany, 20 the draw and 16 for France. Just one predicting team got the score correct - and that was me. Kin: The Duke Spirit now look good to win the Eiffel'over League though it's somewhat by default with The Woodenmen apparently giving up at the end of the Group Stage. |
TWO LEFT IN IT FOR KNOCKOUT LEAGUE
Two points for The Cool Cucumbers increases their lead at the top of the Knockout Stage League to 6 points and it looks like one of our mugs will be staying at home - only Rafa Baguley's King of Siam can overturn Oliver Willingham, and that would require a perfect 7-point swing.
2ND PLACE FOR A MUG?
The good news for the chasing pack is, if Oliver does win, the Nightmare Soccer mug will go to the 2nd placed team, mathematically leaving 13 teams battling it out for the prize.
